IPM Training

Following is a description of training seminars proven to help create, support and grow a successful IPM System. These customized courses are regularly updated to reflect our ever-increasing experience and changing times.

	Executive Overview The first training for organizations implementing an Integrated Process Management system. An explanation of the IPM philosophy and methodology. A shortened version of the variation exercise featured in the IPM Certification, Level I-Bronze seminar. Discussion of the technical aspects, roles and behaviors critical to successful implementation and maintenance of the system. Length: 2 days Target Audience: Upper Management, Future IPM Managers/Coordinators
	IPM Certification, Level I - Bronze The first in the series of the IPM Certification courses. The training session is filled with experiential exercises to help attendees gain an in-depth understanding of the IPM philosophy and the skills vital to creating and sustaining a successful IPM system. Topics include: Empowerment: How to be a manager and an associate in a self-directed environment Effective Listening Statapults or other exercise to demonstrate concepts of process variation Coping with change Roles and responsibilities of individuals and teams in IPM Length: 5 days Target Audience: All
	IPM Certification, Level II - Silver The objective of the second course of IPM Certification Training is to educate attendees in basic statistics. Participants receive more in-depth instruction on variation, ways in which to monitor variables and tools to use in problem solving. Hands-on instruction using Minitab™ statistical software allows class members to return to their job armed with the tools for basic statistical analysis in their realm. The course features: Pareto, run, box plot, scatter charts Histogram and process capability (Cp, Cpk) Variable and attribute data control charts (X (Individuals), R, X-bar, MR, C, U, P, NP) Measurement analysis (including R&R studies) Length: 5 days Target Audience: Select Management, Production and Maintenance Supervisors, IPM Implementers, Key Operators Prerequisite: IPM Certification Level I - Bronze, Basic mathematics skills (pre-test available)
	IPM Certification, Level III - Gold Level III focuses on Design of Experiments (DOE; also known as Multi-variable Testing or MVT). The course walks participants through basic DOE definitions and principles. Attendees utilize DOE software, Design Expert 6.0™ (DX6), to set up and analyze the following experimental designs: Full factorials Fractional factorials (screening, blocking) Plackett-Burman Introduction to Mixtures Length: 5 days Target Audience: Select Management, Production and Maintenance Supervisors, IPM Implementers, Key Operators Prerequisite: IPM Certification Level I - Bronze, IPM Certification Level II - Silver
	IPM Certification, Level IV - Platinum Companies need only a few individuals skilled in Statistical Methods in each location. The Level IV training is reserved for those who will be conducting or helping others to conduct and analyze trials. Statistical Methods helps determine when trial results are significant, insignificant or inconclusive. Participants are taught more that just to use Minitab™ statistical software to compute the mathematics, they will be able to interpret test results and make "next step decisions."
